We booked the hotel casa miguel, arrived there, but they sent us to another hotel Anexo, we walked there with bags for about 15 minutes, the room was different, not the one in the photo, it smelled strongly of dampness, but this is a problem in all hotels that are in riads and it was also cold, although the air conditioner worked all night, but it did not warm the room, I will not stay in such hotels anymore, but the girls who work there were very friendly and polite Karima and Amina, it seems, they tried to smooth everything over! Breakfast was the most ordinary on the terrace. I think the price and quality do not match!

The hotel is good,but the girl who attended me was speaking to me French all the time while I’m speaking Arabic to her,( she knew very well that I’m Moroccan and she understood Arabic ) but she insisted to speak French,I felt so uncomfortable,I want to tell her hey we’re Moroccan in chaouen,if I want to speak French I’d better go to Paris.come on!

When checking in, I get the hotel manger's phone number right away. I can text/call her anytime whenever I have questions. She speaks English fluently so I don't need to worry about the language barrier in Morocco, which troubles me often while I'm traveling there.

Nous avons passé un bref mais très agréable séjour au Riad Casa Miguel. L’accueil y est chaleureux et authentique, et le confort des matelas et des oreillers, d’excellente qualité, a grandement contribué à une nuit de sommeil parfaite, un détail que j’apprécie particulièrement dans un établissement. La propreté et le calme étaient également irréprochables. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse offrait une atmosphère des plus plaisantes, et l’hospitalité de Madame Sanae nous a permis de nous sentir immédiatement à l’aise et appréciés. Mention spéciale pour Perla, le chat du riad, qui a ajouté une touche de charme et de convivialité à notre séjour. Je reviendrai sans hésiter chaque fois que j’aurai besoin de me ressourcer.

Right in the middle of the Blue City.
Beautiful blue city. The rooms were up several staircases and the hotel was up even more. The staff met you at the central hotel Parador where cars had to park and carried your bags to you room for a small fee - well worth it.
Rooms were quaint with local decorations. Fruit and pancakes for breakfast. No fridge or kettle. Many restaurant options nearby but easy to get lost. Wifi patchy.
